In addition to being an audio engineer on a website, I’m a real person too. These are some of the more relevant components of my life.
A Little Bit About Me
Olympia, WA is my home. There’s a lot of amazing music happening here and in the region and I feel really fortunate to be involved with it to the extent that I am.
I spend a lot of my time at K Records’ Dub Narcotic recording studio here in Olympia. I fix the tape machines when they stop working as they ought to, and I have the pleasure of being able to record a small portion of the multitude of albums that have been conceived here.
I co-run Bicycle Records, where I get to record and help put out some of my favorite music. We hand craft our album packaging, build our own accounting databases, and put a handwritten note in every mailorder package.
I’m also a core staff member of Northern, a volunteer run all ages art and music space in downtown Olympia. At Northern I do sound for a very moderate yet consistent amount of shows and am the main person purchasing for and maintaining our sound system.
In addition to all of the recording, technical, sound, and music related work I’m consistently involved in I make it a point to keep time to ride my bike all around town, lay down some fresh beats on the drumset, go swimming when it’s warm out, and make really good dinner with my friends.
